Replacement of Bridge No. 11.2 on the Turner Turnpike (Hogback Road), at the Luther/Jones Interchange. This bridge was built in two (2) phases and crosses the Turnpike on more than a 63 degree skew angle, which posed several design and construction challenges. The new bridge is comprised of 4 spans (110′-152.5′-152.5′-110′), using steel plate girders, and it will accommodate up to five (5) lanes of future traffic on Hogback Road. The Hogback Road bridge takes over as the longest bridge spanning the Turner Turnpike, a spot previously held by Br. No. 68.2 (SH 66 over the Turner TP) which is now the 2nd longest bridge over the Turnpike. (Both were designed by W2M Consulting)
