H.E. Bailey Turnpike over SH 76

Client & Owner: Oklahoma Turnpike Authority

The 1st project completed by W2M Consulting for the OTA – H. E. Bailey Turnpike Bridge No. 4.27-A over State Highway 76. This bridge is comprised of three (3) simply supported steel I-beam spans (44′-55′-46′). Completed in September of 2002.

01 - This is a photo of the existing bridge before rehabilitation.

02 - The existing steel I-beams and diaphragms were removed, cleaned and painted then re-assembled on new bearing assemblies.

03 - This shows the newly painted steel beams and diaphragms over one of the piers, prior to forming the new bridge deck.

04 - Bridge deck reinforcing steel, near one of the abutments.

05 - Completed project. The pier caps were reconstructed, and the abutments, pier columns and concrete slope walls were repaired. In addition to the bridge work, parapets and guard rails were added along SH76 for protection.
