S. 153rd & S. 111th over Turner Turnpike

Client: Leidos Engineering / Benham Design

Owner: Oklahoma Turnpike Authority

As part of the Turnpike Authority’s “Driving Forward” Program, the Turner Turnpike was widened from four to six lanes beginning in 2017 from MP203 east to the Tulsa, Oklahoma end of the Turnpike.  Two of the local overpassing bridges replaced include the S. 153rd and the S. 111th bridges in Creek County, Oklahoma.

Designed by W2M Consulting, both bridges were comprised of two (2) Prestressed Concrete Bulb Tee spans on conventional abutments and piers.  The 111th bridge was the first project completed on the Turner Turnpike during the “Driving Forward” program.

These bridges were built by Sherwood Construction (S. 153rd) and Manhattan Road & Bridge (S. 111th) at a total cost of $2 Million.
